Hi folks, RefreshBCS would like announce that Google is coming to Bryan/College Station to speak to the community on Wednesday, June 27th at 7PM. FIBERTOWN has arranged for us to meet in the beautiful Varisco Building located in downtown Bryan at 219 N. Main. The folks from Google will be speaking about their product line, services, and what may lie down the road as Google continues to amaze us. A full meal from Square One Bistro will be provided by 372 Media. Please RSVP so an accurate amount of food can be prepared. We expect quite a few people will show up and we want to make sure we have enough chairs and food for everyone.

Tonight we had the biggest Refresh BCS ever. About 150 people came to Downtown Bryan to hear Noman Munif from Google discuss their different products. It was amazing to see so many people in Bryan/Col…

Refresh BCS: Google speaks…
Tonight’s RefreshBCS(.org) meeting at the Varisco building in historic downtown Bryan (and new home to the Creative Space) was a HUGE hit!
About 150 people attended to hear a speaker from Google.

Yeah great crowd and good presentation. As always, though, the best part about these sorts of things is meeting other folks who have crawled out of the local woodwork doing great stuff.

As a first-time “Refresher,” I was pleased to see so many creatives gathered in one spot–what a great opportunity to network! The meeting offered a good overview of Google’s offerings, although I’d LOVE more in-depth info and look forward to Analytics next month (fingers crossed).

Great presentation, but the best part was talking with everyone afterwards. We really need to encourage everyone to get up and start conversations before and afterwards. I don’t want this to become another organization where you just come, listen to a lecture/presentation and leave. It’s about the community!

Good point Bill. I totally feel that we should push the listserve and have more people talking via the refresh site. Any takers??
