Here are some attributes I'd like any new space to embody:

1.A place for sharing/shared experience. Learning by osmosis. Letting talents mingle. Co-working mixed with on-site offices.

2.A place where low to no cost tutorials and training sessions could be hosted. In order to have talent you've got to grow it. The cheaper it is to learn stuff the more truly cross-functional teams we'll have. Exploration and imagination are key to innovation.

3.A meeting place. A space that could work equally well as a town hall or a conference/BarCamp facility.

4.A place to watch talent develop. What better way to recruit someone than pair program with them on an open source project?

5.A place that helps the environment. Alternative forms of energy and building materials, say what? Solar panels and denim insulation maybe?

6.A place of magnatism. A place that attracts talent and keeps it. Its all about localism.

After I talked to Dan about the space, I also talked with my colleague Jason Cordes. We came up with a few potential locations:

1. The old Albertson's by Harry's. Central to B/CS.
2. Metro Center on Texas. Not sure if there's any space available there or not.
