&#60;p&#62;Duties: This position, under general supervision, is responsible for database administration in a client-server environment including definition, creation, implementation and maintenance of enterprise data models. Ensure data recovery, integrity and space requirements are met through developing and monitoring policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Responsible for corporate-wide database administration and control&#60;br /&#62;
Create physical database designs, conduct design reviews, perform backup and recovery and performance tuning&#60;br /&#62;
Review, evaluate, design and implement strategies for data acquisitions from numerous file layouts and media forms into specifics databases (MS SQL or Oracle) as required&#60;br /&#62;
Troubleshoot problems and work effectively with other team members to identify and address problems&#60;br /&#62;
Responsible for creating data extracts and developing reports as needed&#60;br /&#62;
Implement and maintain policies, procedures and standards to ensure security and integrity of test and production data&#60;br /&#62;
Provide data flow diagrams and other documentation as required&#60;br /&#62;
Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of database design, architecture, and tools&#60;br /&#62;
Perform on-call duties, system implementations and upgrades that may occur after normal business hours and weekends as required to minimize business impact&#60;br /&#62;
Performs in a fast-paced environment where project deadlines are critical and multiple projects run in parallel&#60;br /&#62;
May act as client point-of-contact and team lead on projects&#60;br /&#62;
Reports to IT Operations Manager&#60;br /&#62;
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database design and development practices and procedures, including the following skills:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;3-5 years of experience in software development field&#60;br /&#62;
2+ years of production Oracle 9i/10g experience&#60;br /&#62;
Proven experience installing Oracle, creating databases, performance tuning, and managing users and security&#60;br /&#62;
Ability to write PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions and advise software engineering teams on best practices on data access layer best practices&#60;br /&#62;
Strong understanding of advanced SQL queries (loops, exceptions, declares), table views, constraints, stored procedures and the impact of executing on the database&#60;br /&#62;
Experience implementing backup and recovery strategies using RMAN&#60;br /&#62;
Familiarity with DB tools (e.g. Oracle Enterprise Manager, TOAD)&#60;br /&#62;
Production MS SQL 2000/2005 experience&#60;br /&#62;
Strong analytical skills&#60;br /&#62;
Excellent written and communication skills&#60;br /&#62;
Preferred Skills:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Experience with clustered environments (RAC, MS SQL clustering)&#60;br /&#62;
Oracle DBA certifications&#60;br /&#62;
Federal security clearances&#60;br /&#62;
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or equivalent work experience&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Compensation: Commensurate with experience; $51,000-$76,475 annual&#60;/p&#62;

&#60;p&#62;Locations: Dallas, TX (Lewisville Office); College Station, TX&#60;/p&#62;
