Seeking Django/Python Developer to work on Social Media Applications
I am looking for a Django/Python developer to work with our Houston, TX based team. Our focus in on creating business-to-business search marketing tools and business and consumer facing social media tools and application. The ideal candidate will possess broad knowledge of Web standards (XHTML, CSS, Web accessibility). This position won’t just be limited to building software. Part of your time will be spent researching new applications of Django and other technologies for business, search marketing and social media. You will also need to keep up with the latest in web development,assist with blog posts, screencasts and podcasts on business and social media.
A top candidate will be:
* An excellent written and verbal communicator
* Experienced at web based application development
* Skilled programmer, with experience with Python/Django and supporting technologies (SQL, JS, CSS, XHTML)
* Experienced working with an MVC framework
* Experienced at database administration
* Proficient in modern web application design methodologies and technologies including XHTML, CSS & table-free layout, XML/XSLT, MVC architecture, etc.
* Experienced using source control systems (CVS, Subversion)
Candidates will be engaged in the following work:
* Building internal and commercial Django/Python based applications
* Building social media support applications
* Building content management systems
* Building search analytics and client reporting tools
